This week's Press Conference is a week old, but it's still a classic. Welcome to the head coaching ranks Mike Singletary...

The always famous, always funny, classic Herm Edwards rant is this weeks Press Conference:

Press Conference
Ok, so it isn't exactly a press conference, but it is an interview. And it is awesome.
The always best-dressed* Craig Sager was being interviewed and had an interesting story to tell about Ted Turner, Jane Fonda, and TBS's broadcasting line-up. Listen and enjoy...
*Not actually best-dressed. Actually, worst-dressed. Like, every time he's ever been on television in his life.
(H/T to AA for the find...)

Press Conference
It's been a while since i posted a video of a press conference, so for this one i went straight to mother load of awesome press conferences: Bobby Knight. He's a veritable goldmine when it comes to outbursts and profanity-laced press conferences, which makes him perfect for this feature. Below is a press conference i actually had not seen before, from the NCAA Tournament a long time ago.
I love Bobby Knight.
On a side note, i had a buddy in college who worked on the video crew for the Iowa football team. One of their duties was to exchange tapes with other teams they were going to play during the season. One year the Indiana film crew gave my buddy a tape of a halftime speech Knight gave his players while at Indiana in a game they were losing badly. It was one of the filthiest, dirtiest, meanest things i've ever heard in my life. And i was dying laughing through the entire thing...

That Was, Umm, Different...
This week's* Press Conference comes courtesy of Bayern Munich futbol club. They are unveiling their new jersey's, i think, and decided to do some weird choreographed dance/fashion show. Total disaster if you ask me, but no one did, so there you go...
Utterly weird.
*Week/weekly is a relative term on this blog...

Weekly Press Conference
Here's my video from my Weekly Press Conference segment. It involves Brian Scalabrine shortly after the Celtic's won the NBA Championship and one very pompous and arrogant reporter from Europe. I like how the reporter basically indicates he doesn't care about the NBA by mentioning soccer, but i particularly enjoy how Scalbrine takes a horrible question and makes a joke out of it...
Yes Brian, in 30 years you will be my MVP of the Finals as well...

Weekly Press Conference
Anytime a coach or manager goes off the deep end, it's pretty much a guarantee that it will show up on my site. This is John McLaren of the Seattle Mariners, who have the worst record in baseball and are all around awful...

Weekly Press Conference
This one again isn't a press conference, but it is the very definition of a coach's meltdown.
My two favorite parts are 1) The 'grenade' throwing, and 2) The fact that he took second base with him...

Weekly Press Conference
Welcome back to your weekly press conference feature. This week's video is a special. Anytime a coach can interrupt another coach's press conference and proceed to threaten him... Well, it gets special mention. Without further adu, i present to you legendary coach John Chaney...

Weekly Press Conference
Sorry for the lack of posts this week; My family was in town and i've been under the weather so this website got pushed to the back burner. Anyway, here's you bi-weekly press conference, this one an old school flashback to baseball and Hal McRae. The phone he tosses and his pirouette as he does it is classic...

Weekend Press Conference
Here's your Friday afternoon Press Conference to tide you over into the weekend, courtest of the University of Michigan. This is fairly recent, but cracks me up. Apparently this coach has a thing about offensive rebounds...

Your Wednesday Afternoon Press Conference
This video brought to you by the Indianapolis Colts and their horrific offense:
Playoffs?!? Are you kidding me?! Kills me every time...

Post Game (Race?) Press Conference
Ok, so this is technically a post race press conference, but it's recent (from Sunday) and hilarious; 99% of the time all you hear out of racer's mouths after a race is how well their team, car, sponsors, crew, chief, and everything else under the sun performed. Tony Stewart? Not so much...
New Feature!
I'm starting a new feature on this-here blog which, at least at first, will run about twice a week. Seeing as how the name of this blog is The Dennis Green Postgame Press Conference, and the inspiration for this blog was, umm, Dennis Greens Postgame Press Conference from the Cardinals-Bears game a couple years ago (which you can watch over to the right), i thought i would start posting videos of other infamous postgame press conference.
Unfortunately, the first one i wanted to post, and one of my favorites, is Rasheed Wallace's famous 'Both teams played hard', which apparently is as hard to find video of as it is to crack the space-time continuum (Two points for the Back To The Future reference...).
The best video i could come up with is the one below from Need4Sheed, which is a great site by the way.
It's not perfect, but it gets the point across. He answered every question after the game with that same response. I've always liked Sheed for some reason...
